Check COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule Of Your State, Other Regions And Union Territories
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has advised states and Union Territories to conduct vaccination sessions four days a week, a schedule has been created. Know all the sessions here.
New Delhi: On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a schedule for the vaccination drive. The ministry has advised all the states and UTs to conduct the vaccinations in any four days of the week to minimize disruptions but in small states these can happen in two days a week as the population is lesser, some states have already publicised their weekly vaccination days.
India conducted the largest vaccination drive in the world on Saturday, January 16th 2021. According to Press Information Bureau, a total of 2,24,301 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till Sunday as per the provisional report. "A total of 553 sessionswere held in six States (today being Sunday),17,072 beneficiaries were vaccinated on Day 2, as per the provisional reports." The report further added that a total of 447 AEFIs have been reported on during the weekedn. "Out of these, three required hospitalization. Of these, one has been discharged from Northern Railway Hospital Delhi within 24 hours; one has been discharged from AIIMS Delhi; and one is under observation in AIIMS Rishikesh and is being monitored," it said. The adeverse reaction are being monitored through India's existing surveillance framework.
Meanwhile, a controversy sparked after a ward boy named Mahipal Singh died after being inoculated with the Covid shot on January 16 at the district hospital. The family members of the deceased have claimed that after getting the jab, his health worsened after which he was rushed to nearby hospital, but he died a day after. He complained of uneasiness in chest, breathlessness and cough. The family members have also alleged that before being administered with a Coronavirus vaccine, the authorities did not conduct a medical test on him.
