Congress President Sonia Gandhi To Join Bharat Jodo Yatra In Karnataka
Congress President Sonia Gandhi will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka on 6 October, as reported by news agency PTI.
It will be after a long time that Gandhi will participate in the party's public event where a large number of Congress workers are participating. The Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the 26th day of its almost five-month journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will undertake the entire 3,570 km Yatra.
On Tuesday i.e. 4th October and Wednesday i.e. 5th October, India Jodo Yatra will be halted due to Dussehra. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will also meet Sonia Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi and many other Congress leaders and workers started the Bharat Jodo Yatra on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The yatra will conclude in Kashmir early next year. A total distance of 3570 kms will be covered in this journey.
Jaishankar Reaches Auckland, To Issue India@75 Postage Stamps To Commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday arrived in New Zealand and will participate in an event on October 6 along with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to felicitate members of the Indian community for their exceptional achievements and contributions, as reported by PTI.
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Monday that the two leaders will issue India@75 postage stamps to commemorate and display the elixir of freedom in New Zealand. Along with this, Jaishankar will also release the book 'Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery'.
A book showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's special bond with the Sikh community 'Heartfelt - The Legacy of Faith' will also be released on the occasion. Further, he will interact with parliamentarians, members of the business community as well as the Indian diaspora, including students.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to inaugurate the 108-foot bronze statue of Bengaluru's founder Nadaprabhu Kempegowda next month, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday directed officials to make necessary arrangements for the event. The Prime Minister will also be inaugurating the Kempegowda theme park which has been developed near the international airport. According to official sources, the inauguration is likely on November 10 and the event is likely to attract lakhs of people.
