Breaking News Highlights, October 11, 2021: Hello and welcome to ABP News LIVE Breaking News Blog! Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Indian Space Association (ISpA). The virtual inauguration ceremony will be held at 11am, according to a tweet from PM Modi's official handle.
He will also interact with representatives of the space industry on the occasion.
In a release, the Prime Minister's Office said that ISpA is a premier industry association of space and satellite companies, which aspires to be the collective voice of the Indian space industry.
“It will undertake policy advocacy and engage with all stakeholders in the Indian space domain, including the government and its agencies,” it added.
The ISpA's founding members include Larson & Toubro, Nelco (Tata Group), OneWeb, Bharti Airtel, Mapmyindia, Walchandnagar Industries and Ananth Technology Limited. Other core members include Godrej, Hughes India, Azista-BST Aerospace Private Limited, BEL, Centum Electronics and Maxar India, the release added.
Several trade organisations in Pune have expressed support for Monday's Maharashtra bandh called by the ruling MVA constituents and other outfits to protest against the October 3 killing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.
The Federation of Trade Association of Pune (FTAP) president Fattechand Ranka said all shops, except those dealing in essential items, will remain closed till 3 pm on Monday.
Over 2,000 traders dealing in fruits, vegetables, flowers, grains, onions and potatoes etc will support the bandh to show solidarity with farmers who play an all-important role in their sector, said Rohan Ursal, secretary of the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard Adate (Traders) Association.
Transport is also likely to be hit in Maharashtra's second largest city as rickshaw unions have decided to not ply their vehicles during the duration of the shutdown on Monday.
"Our organisation and several other transport groups will be supporting the bandh," said Rickshaw Panchayat functionary Nitin Pawar.
However, commuting respite for the public is expected from the civic-run Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd, which has decided to run extra buses on Monday.
"As PMPML services fall under the essential category, we will be functioning on Monday, and have decided to ply extra buses, on all routes if needed," said its transport manager DM Zende.

PM Modi & UK PM Boris Johnson reviewed the progress in bilateral relations
PM Modi & UK PM Boris Johnson reviewed the progress in bilateral relations since their virtual summit earlier this year and expressed satisfaction at the steps already initiated under the Roadmap 2030 adopted during the virtual summit: Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
They also reviewed the progress of the Enhanced Trade Partnership and agreed on the potential of rapidly expanding trade and investment linkages between both countries.
They had extensive discussion on issues related to Climate Change, in the context of UNFCCC COP-26 meeting in Glasgow in early Nov 2021. PM conveyed India's commitment to Climate Action, as seen in its target for expansion of renewable energy & National Hydrogen Mission.
They also exchanged views on regional developments, especially the situation in Afghanistan. In this context, they agreed on the need to develop a common international perspective on issues regarding extremism and terrorism, as well as the Human Rights & rights of women & minorities.
