Delhi HC To Hear Gangster Bishnoi's Plea Fearing 'Fake Encounter'

The Delhi High Court will on Wednesday hear the plea of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, accused in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's killing. Bishnoi is suspected to be involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The Delhi High Court on Tuesday accepted the petition of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The demand for early hearing was accepted by a division bench of the High Court led by the Chief Justice. The hearing has been posted for Wednesday morning.

Moose Wala, who had unsuccessfully contested the Punjab assembly polls on a Congress ticket, was shot dead on Sunday at Jawaharke village in the state's Mansa district. 

American Airlines To Operate Special London-Delhi Flight To Bring Stranded Passengers

American Airlines will operate a special London-Delhi flight to bring back passengers stranded in the UK capital for the last two days. An official of the Indian aviation regulator DGCA gave this information on Tuesday. Sources in the aviation sector said that a passenger onboard the American Airlines New York-Delhi flight (AA292) had to land in London on Sunday due to sudden illness. He told that due to this, about 200 passengers aboard the plane have been stranded in London for the last two days.

Delhi Likely To Witness Partly Cloudy Sky, Light Rain

A day after heavy rain and thunderstorms lashed the capital on Monday, the mercury dropped seven notches below normal to 20.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. At the same time, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.4 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius below normal. According to the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, partly cloudy sky with wind speed reaching 20 to 30 kmph is likely to cause thunderstorms. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 40 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively.
