Asaram Bapu Rape Case: Court To Pronounce Quantum Of Sentence On Tuesday
After Asaram Bapu was convicted in a 2013 rape case, a court will pronounce the quantum of sentence on Tuesday. The woman claimed she was raped multiple times between 2001 and 2006 while she lived at Asaram Bapu's ashram on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, according to the FIR filed at Chandkheda police station.
Sessions court judge DK Soni acquitted six other accused, including Asaram's wife Laxmiben, their daughter, and four disciples who were accused of aiding and abetting the crime, for want of evidence.
