PM Modi To Distribute 71,000 Appointment Letters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute around 71,000 arrangement letters to recently enlisted workers on April 13 by means of video conferencing and furthermore address them on the event, as per the statement gave by his office on Tuesday.

The program is part of the "Rozgar Mela" campaign, which aims to provide employment opportunities for 10 million people. The statement said it was a stage towards satisfaction of the prime minister's commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation.

"The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development," it added.

Train manager, station master, senior commercial-cum-ticket clerk, inspector, sub-inspector, constable, stenographer, junior accountant, postal assistant, income tax inspector, tax assistant, assistant professor, teacher, librarian, nurse, probationary officers, PA, and MTS, among other positions within the central government, will be filled by the recruits chosen from across the nation.

Home Minister Amit Shah To Review Security Situation In JK

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will examine the Jammu and Kashmir security situation on Thursday, said sources.

Security representatives from the central government and the union territory administration will provide Shah with a comprehensive presentation on the current state of law and order in J-K.

According to sources, the situation along the Line of Control and International Border, as well as attempts to target members of minority communities and infiltration attempts from across the border, are likely to be discussed at the meeting in Delhi.

The meeting will include attendance by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh, and other high-ranking officials.

In the past three years, Jammu and Kashmir has seen a number of targeted killings.

Since the repeal of Article 370 in 2019 and through July 2022, the government had informed Parliament that as many as 118 civilians, including five Kashmiri Pandits and 16 other Hindus and Sikhs, had been killed in J-K.

In May, four Hindu travelers were killed and something like 20 injured when their bus caught fire close to Katra in Jammu. The fire might have been started by a sticky bomb, according to the police.

On August 5, 2019, Article 370, which granted Jammu and Kashmir special status, was repealed, resulting in the state's division into Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, two Union Territories.
