BMW Motorrad dealerships in India is offering various discounts and benefits on the G 310 R and G 310 GS, in order to boost sales. The bikemaker is offering free insurance, reduced interest rate on finance and cash discounts which are available across all BMW Motorrad dealerships in India. This offer is valid till 31 December 2018, so we would suggest you to hurry if you’re interested in any of these two bikes. Since these discounts are being offered at dealership level, the price of the BMW duo remains unchanged. The BMW G 310 R still costs Rs 2.99 lakh, while the baby GS retains a price tag of Rs 3.49 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom India).

What you’d like to keep in mind though is that not all dealers are offering all three aforementioned benefits. While all of them offer complimentary insurance and a lowered rate of finance on both bikes, there are a select few who will offer a Rs 25,000 cash discount. This cash discount is only applicable for customers who are willing to pay the full amount rather than opting for finance.

To elaborate, the complementary insurance, which would otherwise cost you a little over Rs 10,000, includes one year of comprehensive coverage and five years of third-party liability coverage. On the other hand, the finance scheme offers a low interest rate of 3.1 per cent compared to the standard 8.1 per cent per annum. All these offers have been cross-checked by us with BMW Motorrad dealership in Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru.

Though the BMW siblings cater to different segments, they share the same engine, chassis and braking setup. However, there are a couple of components where the GS differs from the R. For instance, the baby GS gets longer travel suspension, 19-inch front wheel instead of 17-inch and switchable ABS on the rear wheel. Additionally, the GS’ alloys come wrapped in dual-purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres. The R, on the other hand, gets 17-inch alloys at both ends shod with road-biased Michelin tyres.
