Devendra Fadnavis To Join Shinde Govt As Deputy CM Of Maharashtra, Says Nadda
Devendra Fadnavis Deputy CM: BJP leader Amit Shah on his official Twitter handle said, "Devendra Fadnavis has decided to join the Maharashtra government at the request of BJP chief JP Nadda."
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party chief Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday said that Maharashtra's former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should become Deputy CM in the Eknath Shinde government. “BJP's central leadership has decided that Devendra Fadnavis should become a part of the Govt. So, made a personal request to him and Central leadership has said that Devendra Fadnvais should take charge as Deputy CM of Maharashtra,” ANI quoted Nadda as saying.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Amit Shah on his official Twitter handle said, "Devendra Fadnavis has decided to join the Maharashtra government at the request of BJP chief JP Nadda."
"Fadnavis's decision shows his sense of service towards the people of Maharashtra," he further said.

The latest development comes after Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde met Governor BS Koshyari at Raj Bhavan to stake a claim to form the new government. Now Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who led the revolt in the party leading to the collapse of the MVA government, will be the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and take oath at 7.30 pm today, said BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.

Earlier, Fadnavis announced in the presser that he won't be a part of the government and provide full support to the Shinde government. "I will be out of government but will ensure smooth functioning of the government which is coming as an alternative after Uddhav Thackeray resigned," Fadnavis had said.
