Birbhum Violence: CCTV Footage Shows Bomb Attack That Killed TMC Leader Bhadu Sheikh. Video Surfaces

Following Bhadu Shiekh’s murder, eight charred bodies were recovered on March 21 after a mob allegedly went on a rampage and set houses on fire with petrol bombs in Rampurhat's Bogtui village. 

New Delhi: In a chilling CCTV footage of Birbhum violence that surfaced 14 days after violence broke out in West Bengal’s Rampurhat in Birbhum district, the accused can be seen hurling three consecutive attacks on Trinamool Congress Panchayat leader of Bogtui village, Bhadu Sheikh. 

In the one-and-a-half minute footage, it can be seen that the accused came on a motorcycle and launched three explosive attacks one after the other. The first one was hurled on Bhadu Sheikh, the second one a little away so that security personnel or no one could come to the rescue, and the third one was directly hurled at Bhadu Sheikh.

The death toll in the incident had reached 9 after a woman who had suffered severe burns died in a hospital last week, news agency PTI had reported. 

Out of the nine deceased, seven were women and two were children.
