A woman judge in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud seeking permission to end her life because of the "abuse" and "harassment" she had endured in her career. According to IANS, the civil judge, in her letter, said she was writing to her "elder most guardian" in "extreme pain and despair".

The details come three days after police found the body of the 20-year-old woman at the man's rented house in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
