2018 Maruti Ciaz Interiors Spied; Will Get Cruise Control

The spy shots also reveal an updated instrument cluster and minor cosmetic tweaks

Soon after the 2018 Ciaz facelift was spied undisguised revealing its exterior design, an interior shot of the upcoming sedan has surfaced. And, as expected, the interiors look quite similar to the outgoing model.

The steering wheel gets a new set of buttons on the right spoke, suggesting the introduction of cruise control on the new Ciaz. The current pre-facelift Ciaz doesn’t get this features although it’s available on the Vitara Brezza and the S Cross.

The dashboard layout remains unaltered and carries forward the dual-tone black-beige theme with faux wood inserts of the outgoing model. The wooden trim on the facelift, however, sports a lighter shade of brown. From the spy images, the instrument cluster also appears to have been updated and now resembles the one seen on the 2017 Dzire and the recently revealed 2018 Ertiga (Indonesia-spec). On the outside, the Ciaz facelift sports a new front fascia, as revealed by a set of spy shots earlier. It gets an updated grille, which is slimmer and is flanked by the updated smoked headlamps. The bumper is also new and features chrome surrounds for the fog lamp housings. To know more about the styling updates on the outside, click here.

Under the bonnet, the new Ciaz is expected to get a new 1.5-litre petrol engine with SHVS technology, as we reported before. This is the same engine that powers the Indonesia-spec Ertiga and makes 104.7PS of maximum power and 138Nm of peak torque. The diesel option, on the other hand, is expected to be the same 1.3-litre engine from the outgoing model.

The 2018 Ciaz is expected to go on sale in the coming few months and bookings are likely to begin very soon. It is expected to be priced in the same range as the outgoing model, prices for which starts at Rs 7.83 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
