World Day Against Child Labour day was launched by Inteernational Labor organisation in the year 2002 for taking necessary action against child labor.
World Day Against Child Labour day is observed on 12 june every year to raise awareness on a global level among people including the ones’s from various governments,employers and labors, civil societies to bring limelight on the act of child labour and its plight so that various campaigns and drives can run up to make a change.

This year's World Day Against Child Labour will be celebrated with a “Week of Action against Child Labour”, marked from 3-12 June 2022 where various activities would take place for raising awareness about how the heinous act of child labor damaes the child mentally and physically.
"Universal Social Protection to End Child Labor" is the theme for 2022.
Increased investment in social protection systems and schemes to develop stable social protection floors and safeguard children from child labour is the topic of the World Day in 2022.
While great progress has been made in eliminating child labour over the last two decades, progress has slowed and even stagnated between 2016 and 2020. Today, 160 million youngsters – some as young as five years old – are still working as children.
