Why Do You Suffer From Joint Pain During Monsoon? Know Precautions And Relief Measures

The doctor says that in the rainy season, moisture levels, air pressure, sudden changes in temperature cause joint pain, muscle stiffness, and injury pain to many people.

Your bones hurt more during the monsoon, which makes normal functioning difficult. Dr. Ashwani Maichand, a bone surgeon in Delhi, explained in detail, "There is a relationship between joint pain and changing weather. Cold weather can be difficult for your joints.

In monsoon, many people begin to experience joint pain, muscle stiffness, and injury pain due to changes in humidity level, air pressure, and sudden temperature changes. This is because excessive levels of moisture can thicken blood, increase blood pressure in blood vessels and make it difficult for the body to pump blood."

Why does the monsoon cause joint pain?

Humid days can cause dehydration, resulting in less fluid accumulation around the joints, and they may worsen the pain. More than that, these factors can also worsen the pain of arthritis. A large number of people, especially above 60 years, complain of joint pain and stiffness. That is why it becomes necessary to control the pain instead of ignoring it. These are the best ways to relieve muscle and joint pain.

Remedies and precautions for curing joint pain

  • Massaging the affected joints with oil will also increase circulation.
  • People with joint or bone problems are advised against using air conditioners as they can aggravate the pain.
  • Exercise can prove to be a boon for joint pain and stiff muscles.
  • Don't forget to walk in the morning, stretch the muscles, practice yoga, exercise your feet, or cycle to keep joints in good shape.
  • Vitamin E can be a boon for those with joints pain. It is an antioxidant that fights and protects the body from free radicals.
  • Vitamin E can also help in reducing pain and inflammation. Nuts, green vegetables, seeds, and fishes are good sources of Vitamin E.
  • Don't forget to eat whole grains, almonds, walnuts, and fruits. Avoid the use of pickles, sweets, cakes, pastries, and artificial sweeteners.
  • Cola, soda, oily, processed, and canned food can make your pain worse. Hot soup can reduce inflammation in the body.
  • Drinking water can help you stay hydrated, reduce pain and improve joint elasticity.
  • Cut down on sodium intake to control water retention and inflammation in the body.
  • A diet rich in calcium and protein can have a magical effect on your health.
  • Lack of vitamin D and B12 can also result in numbness, joint pain, and shivering sensation.
