Republic Day 2025: PM Modi Keeps His Turban Tradition Alive, Dons Vibrant Yellow And Red Turban This Year

Keeping up with his tradition of wearing colourful turbans, this year too Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose a multicolour turban with pleats.

Republic Day 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the beginning of the 76th Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2025, with a visit to the National War Memorial. Accompanied by service chiefs, PM Modi pays tribute to martyrs by observing two minutes of silence. Upholding his tradition of wearing vibrant turbans on significant national occasions, the Prime Minister opted for a striking yellow and red turban with pleats this year, which added a splash of colour to the event.

PM Modi’s Republic Day Outfit:

This year, PM Modi's outfit for the day featured a cream-coloured churidar kurta, paired with a dark brown bandhgala blazer, complemented by black shoes maintaining his signature style. The highlights of the attire is his Kesariya Safa (turban), adorned  with the striking yellow and red hues, which added a splash of vibrance to the occasion and became a point of attention. The choice of the vibrant  colours resonates with the theme of the day, 'Swarnim Bharat- Virasat aur Vikas', which highlights Inida's rich heritage and ongoing developement.

Known for his meticulous selection of turbans for Republic Day and Independence Day, PM Modi once again carried forward this tradition with flair.
