Popular Trends For Well-Groomed Men To Watch Out For This Season
Experts predict some new and exciting trends to emerge in the beauty industry as men's grooming becomes more fashionable and more men use grooming products than ever before.
Another year of challenges, surprises, innovations, hope, and optimism brings us to the start of the New Year. 2023 will mark a break from masks and staying indoors, people will get out more, and dress nicer, some will go back to work every week, take rebellious road trips, and spend more time grooming themselves. Understanding our cultural ecology, what is happening, what is inspiring individuals, and all the contiguity inside the system that will give these changes impetus allows us to predict future trends.
Men's grooming will become more fashionable; and more men will utilise grooming products than ever before, so we can anticipate some fresh and intriguing trends to appear in the beauty sector in 2023. All of this seems to be good news for individuals who make an effort to look their best when they go out.
In an interaction with ABP Live, Ankit Daga, the Head of Business Development at McNROE said, "While it may appear that the fundamentals of hair, beard, and skincare mainly remain the same year after year, there are actual trends that point men in particular directions. Today, social media plays a crucial role in the rise in demand for men's grooming products by giving them quick access to information from the comfort of their own homes. More importantly, the emergence of new influencers in the field of men's grooming will be something to keep an eye out for. These influencers will go on to become prominent and leading voices in the men's grooming industry." He further discussed the top trends and drivers driving change that will undoubtedly be popular among men this year.
Skincare is the key: There has been a notable increase in the number of men looking for solutions to specific skincare issues, such as treatments and natural remedies for acne, the advantages of moisturising, vitamin C serums and anti-aging, or even solutions to de-tan. Men need to take extra precautions for their skin because they spend more time outdoors or in rough environments. The most popular skincare practises are still washing, moisturising and applying sunscreen for the day or a soothing serum for the night. Simple is better when it comes to skincare routines; and let's face it, neither men nor women enjoy a 10-step beauty routine every day. When putting together an efficient skincare routine, the skin type (normal, sensitive, oily, dry, or combination) and lifestyle (sports and exercise result in a lot of perspiration) are crucial considerations. Working smarter, not harder, and incorporating the proper skincare into a simple routine are the two key concepts for 2023. It doesn't have to be anything crazy, a 3-step skincare routine just hits the sweet spot; and men are hopping on the bandwagon to use these new-age products that work to repair, rejuvenate, hydrate, protect, and nourish their skin cells.
Beards are here to stay: Nothing screams manliness like sporting a gorgeous beard that makes everyone envious. Beards, especially medium-length, trimmed beards, along with a slightly longer and more prominent moustache, will continue to be fashionable. Of course, neglecting your beard and letting it grow out naturally (like one did during the lockdown) is not the vibe for 2023. Well-groomed beard styles are here to stay as it is already accepted in most professions. Although, beard care is a crucial component of personal grooming, whether one is just starting to grow facial hair or is now the proud owner of a fully-grown beard. To keep the pores clear and to avoid ingrown hair, exfoliation and gentle cleansing of the beard multiple times per week are a must. The demand and need for beard care products such as beard oils, beard conditioners and waxes will continue to remain high.
Hair Care is Self Care: Not long ago, barbershops used to plaster photographs of celebrities on their walls and mirrors to assist customers to choose a hairstyle. Today, a client will probably suggest a cut based on a combination of personal preferences, lifestyle, and more pragmatic considerations like hair texture and density. Selecting the appropriate haircut and hair products has become crucial. Men with long, curly hair use texturising sprays, which add a lot of volume, while men with finer hair can typically get away with using a simple hair cream to add a little control. It is safer to choose hair products that also have nourishing benefits on the scalp and hair strands. Men can also maintain their hair protected and moisturised by using products with Argan Oil and Vitamin E or an anti-frizz leave-in conditioner to aid with the country's humidity.
Confidence in a bottle: Water, alcohol, and aromatic oils are all essential ingredients in any perfume one wear. Top notes, heart notes, and base notes are its three unique layers of notes. While it is completely acceptable to use a strong deodorant on a daily basis, modern men prefer a great fragrance that lasts all day. Ankit Daga, the Head of Business Development at McNROE Consumer Products Private Limited, commented on the same, "Unbeknownst to us, scent has a far greater impact on our psychology. In a sense, perfume is an accessory that you wear. It may influence how we feel and act, as well as how other people see us. Fragrances also provide a dash of individuality that will undoubtedly improve your outlook giving you more confidence to face the world."
Let's be honest, men's grooming habits now go much beyond the old fast shave and comb-over. Today's man spends time and effort making sure he appears appealing both during work hours and in his leisure time. Simply put, it's not all about routine; sometimes it's about taking care of yourself, and in 2023, we'll see men doing just that.
