PM Modi Plants Sindoor Saplings Gifted To Him By Women At His Residence — Watch

Today, on the special occasion World Environment Day 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted the Sindoor sapling at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, Delhi.

Marking World Environment Day with a deeply symbolic and emotional gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Sindoor sapling at his official residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, in New Delhi. The sapling holds immense national and emotional significance, having been gifted to him by the courageous mothers and sisters of Kutch, Gujarat — women who showed extraordinary bravery during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

A TributeTo Nari Shakti And Nature:

The Prime Minister recalled his recent visit to Gujarat, where he met these women and received the Sindoor plant. Moved by their patriotism and sacrifice, he had promised to plant the sapling at his residence — a promise he fulfilled on the occasion of World Environment Day.

PM Modi also shared photographs of the plantation on social media, reflecting how this small act represents a blend of respect for women's valour and the commitment to a greener future.

Sindoor: A Plant Of Significance

The Sindoor plant, revered in Indian culture and Ayurvedic tradition, is known not just for its medicinal and ritualistic use but also as a symbol of devotion, health, and strength.

World Environment Day 2025:

Observed every year on June 5, World Environment Day aims to encourage awareness and action to protect the environment.
