1. Cheese Poppers:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp crushed green chilli
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups of refined oil
- 2 cups of grated paneer
- Cheese cubes, preferably mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp sugar
Preparation:
1. To prepare this tasty starter on New Year, combine paneer, mashed potatoes, crushed green chillies, salt, and sugar to make a dough.
2. Next, take a small amount of dough, and form tiny balls with your hands. A few cheese strips should be placed on it and pressed lightly. Another dough ball should be placed over the cheese slices and sealed. You can later enjoy the cheese pull if you have used mozzarella cheese.
3. In a pan, heat the oil over a strong flame. Fry the cheese balls until they are golden brown. When they are finished, place them in a serving bowl and serve them hot with tomato ketchup and coriander chutney. You can also blot up extra oil using a napkin before serving.
2. Italian Style Baby Potatoes:
Ingredients:
- A few baby potatoes scrubbed and halved
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
Preparation:
- Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees C). Use foil to line a baking pan or rimmed sheet.
- Put the potato halves in a sizable plastic bag that can be sealed. Add Olive oil, and Italian dressing mix, to it. Then shake until all the potatoes are evenly covered. Place in the baking pan that has been prepared.
- Roast in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes, tossing the potatoes halfway through.
- You can then add your favourite seasonings and serve it with ketchup.
3. Grilled chicken Wings:
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of Chicken Wings
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped finely
- 2 tbsp Sweet and Spicy Red Chilli Sauce
- 2 tbsp Homemade tomato puree
- 1 tsp Red Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Rosemary
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- In a bowl, add the garlic, sweet chilli sauce, tomato puree, chilli flakes, rosemary, honey, lemon juice, oil, and salt to make the grilled chicken wings.
- The chicken should now be added to this marinated mixture and given 45 to 60 minutes to rest.
- 2 teaspoons of oil are heated in a grill pan. Grill the chicken wings over medium to high heat for 15-20 minutes, flipping periodically, or until cooked through.
- This can be served with the dip of your choice.
4. Chicken Malai Sheekh Kebab:
Ingredients:
- 500 g of minced chicken
- 4 tsp fresh cream
- 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
- Salt to taste
- Chaat Masala
- 1 tsp fresh grounded black pepper
- 3 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- One big onion
- Bread crumbs
Preparation:
- With the help of a mixer grinder, blend all the ingredients.
- To achieve a semi-solid consistency, add the bread crumbs.
- Put the mixture on the skewers after brushing oil through them.
- The seekh kebabs should be baked in the oven until cooked.
- The mixture can also be formed into kebabs with your hands and cooked in a pan with 2 teaspoons of butter or oil over a low flame.
- Hot kebabs can be served with mint and cilantro chutney.
5. Corn Croquettes:
Ingredients:
- 120 g of flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- 150g of canned corn
- 80g butter
Preparation:
- Prepare a dough by mixing flour, eggs, milk, salt, and corn.
- Place the corn dough croquettes in a frying pan over medium heat and cook until both sides are golden brown.
- Once done, carefully take out the croquettes and place them on a napkin to get rid of the excess oil.
- Serve your croquettes with a dip of your choice.
