Kitchen Hacks: Utilise Leftover Rice By Making Corn Pulao, Know Steps To Make This Dish

New Delhi: Sometimes the quantity of rice made at the house exceeds the consumption need. In such a situation everyone thinks, how to use the leftover rice properly. There is a healthy and tasty option to utilise your leftover rice.

One can make corn pulao using leftover rice and as per the taste requirement of an individual can experiment with it further. As per your taste buds, you can add vegetables to use the leftover rice.

Corn Pulao Made From Leftover Rice

1- First turn on the gas and place the cooker on medium flame. 
2- Now add 2 tsp vegetable oil and 1-2 tsp ghee. 
3- First add whole spices including 2 bay leaves, 2 staranise, 2 large cardamoms, a little javitri, a piece of cinnamon.
4- Now add 1 chopped onion into it and fry the onion till it turns brown.
5- Now add spices like 1 and 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1 and 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chili powder and mix them.
6- Add 1 and 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, 3-4 cloves, and 5-6 black pepper.
7- Now add about half a cup of fresh corn and stir.
8- Add a little amount of water so that the spices do not stick.
9- Now add the leftover rice and mix them. 
10- Cook on a medium flame for 5-10 minutes. Now delicious veg Corn Pulao is ready.
