Happy April Fools' 2021 Wishes: It's that time of the year when you leave behind all your worries and play pranks, hoaxes on one another leading up to fun and laughter. The first day of the April is celebrated as April Fools' Day, which is just a day away. The traditions of this day has been followed for years even as the exact origins of the day still remains shrouded in mystery.

What's the history of the day?

Even as the origin of this is not clear, but it was first celebrated in Europe before spreading across the world. The traditions include playing practical jokes on one another and then shouting “April Fools!” at the end cheering about the day.

According to historian, the day has been recognised after Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian calendar, and said the new calendar would start from January 1 back in 1952. Prior to this, New Year used to be celebrated in March-end.

This day is believed, to be the day when the change of calendar from Julian to Gregorian was first implemented. Since then April 1 became the most commonly believed reason to celebrate this day. On the contrary, many others refused to accept the change and followed the Julian calendar, but France was the first country to accept and initiate the new calendar.

It is then said that those who did not follow the new calendar were considered foolish and made fun of by those who did.
