Fruits And Vegetables That You Can Add To Your Home-Based Skin Care Routine

Fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of vitamins for skin care. Eating them provides some benefits, but many of the nutrients are also contained in the peels.

New Delhi: Using natural products in your skincare routine will always produce positive outcomes without being too expensive or even causing any harm. Organic is preferable because it is gentler on the skin and there is something for every skin type. Fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of vitamins for skin care. Eating them provides some benefits, but many of the nutrients are also contained in the peels. So, before throwing away the peels, try to consider if they can be used in your skincare regime.

Here are some fruits and vegetables that you can include in your skincare regime:

1. Kiwi:

Kiwis are odd and hairy little fruits, but with all the vitamin C available. In just one medium kiwi, you'll meet and exceed your daily requirement. Vitamin C promotes collagen formation, which keeps the skin youthful and reduces fine wrinkles. Similarly, vitamin C is linked to less skin dryness and less visible wrinkles.

2. Banana Peels:

They're great for toning and healing scars from breakouts. When combined with lemon juice, the peels can also be used as an exfoliant. Massage the peels into your skin for a few minutes before rinsing them away.

3. Pomegranate Peel:

Pomegranate peels have anti-ageing and hydrating effects. If you're battling with dryness or fine lines and wrinkles, try massaging the peels on the afflicted areas a few times a week.

4. Orange:

Both the tangy fruit and the peel are high in Vitamin C and calcium. They include anti-bacterial and anti-microbial qualities that aid in the treatment of acne and greasy skin. Vitamin C helps balance the natural oil by regulating the production of sebum, an oily material generated by glands under the skin. Orange peel can be used as a natural facial cleanser and in conjunction with other components to naturally remove dark spots, lighten acne scars, minimise sun tans, moisturise, and brighten skin.

5. Avocado:

Avocado pulp is known for its nutritious characteristics and is frequently referred to as a superfood. Vitamin B, Vitamin E, and amino acids are abundant in both the fruit and its peel. The peel can be used to nurture your skin in a natural, chemical-free approach. It is an excellent treatment for dry, itchy, and rough skin.

6. Tomato:

They're fantastic in stews, salads, and on your skin. Tomato peels contain antioxidants, which are beneficial to make your skin look younger. It also helps to tone your skin and minimises discolouration. After washing your face, massage the peels into your skin for a few minutes before rinsing.

7. Carrot Peels:

When it comes to cosmetic benefits, these peels may even outperform the vegetable. They brighten your skin and help to decrease wrinkles. Blend the peels with a little water until they form a paste. Use the paste as a mask for a few minutes before rinsing it off.
