To mark Ranveer Singh’s 40th birthday, the makers of Dhurandhar unveiled the much-anticipated first look of the action-packed spy thriller. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan.
But what truly caught the attention of many was a blink-and-you-miss appearance of the film’s female lead—Sara Arjun. Known for her impressive run as a child artist, Dhurandhar marks Sara’s official transition into lead roles in mainstream cinema.
Who Is Sara Arjun?
Born in 2005, Sara Arjun is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun and began her journey in the entertainment industry at an incredibly young age. She made her on-screen debut in a commercial at just over one year old, after being spotted at a mall with her parents. Her breakout role came with the 2011 Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, where she portrayed Vikram’s daughter to critical acclaim. Over the years, she has featured in several notable films such as Ek Thi Daayan, Saivam, and Saand Ki Aankh.

India’s Richest Child Star
Sara’s most prominent role so far came in 2022, when she played the young version of Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The two-part historical epic, which saw Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the adult Nandini, grossed ₹800 crore worldwide, making it a massive success.
As reported by Siasat and Gulte in 2023, “After the success of the films, Sara had a net worth of ₹10 crore, making her the richest child actor in India.” The title was later passed on to Riva Arora after Sara turned 18.

Sara Arjun’s Role in Dhurandhar
Sara’s casting in Dhurandhar was first reported by Peeping Moon in 2023. According to the outlet, “Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film (by Aditya Dhar) marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema.”
In the first-look teaser, she appears in three brief yet striking scenes: dancing in a club, riding pillion with Ranveer Singh’s character, and sharing a dance moment with him.
