Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Last month, three actors of the show tested positive for COVID-19. Veteran actress Swati Chitnis has now resumed the shooting after recovering from the virus.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. The popular show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan started airing its fresh episodes after three months of lockdown. Last month, three actors from the show- Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi and Samir Onkar tested positive for COVID-19. Four crew members were also found infected with Coronavirus. The makers of the shoe halted the shoot for few days as a precautionary measure. The entire set was sanitized before the resumption of the shoot. As per the latest buzz, Swati Chitnis aka Kartik’s dadi Suhasini Goenka has resumed shooting for ‘Yeh Rishta’ after recovering from COVID-19. Yes, you read that right! According to report in an entertainment portal, the veteran actress has reported back to the sets today after recovering from the virus. "After testing positive for COVID-19, the actress was under self-isolation and now when she has fully recovered she has joined back the shoot," a source told SpotboyE.

Sachin Tyagi, who plays the role of Mohsin Khan’s on-screen father, is yet to resume shooting for the show. He was diagnosed with dengue and was later found to be infected with COVID-19. "He is yet to resume. He was first down with dengue and then COVID-19 was detected, hence, he is weak and might take some more time to recover," the source told the portal. The current track of the show will focus on Naira’s pregnancy. The makers have decided to add a new twist in tale as Kartik will go missing. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has witnessed a drop in numbers after the show returned post COVID-19 lockdown. The makers are trying to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets by introducing new tracks. The show is facing stiff competition from ‘Kundali Bhagya’, which is topping the TRP charts.
