Mumbai: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is all set to take a generation leap soon. The makers of the popular daily soap have decided to introduce a new track to spice up the ratings. Shivangi Joshi and Moshin Khan, who played the respective roles of Naira and Kartik, have bid adieu to the show as they were not required post the leap. 

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will play the new leads in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ following the generation leap. The cast and crew are currently busy shooting for the show in Udaipur. Saas Bahu Aur Saazish has shared the first look of Harshad and Pranali from ‘YRKKH’ on its official Instagram handle.  

While Harshad looked dapper in a white traditional outfit, Pranali donned a yellow dress. The duo was seen playing the violin together in the unseen pictures from the sets of the show.

Shivangi Joshi Bids Farewell To Yeh Rishta

The talented actress, who played the role of Naira for over five years, issued a statement to thank Rajan Shahi and the team of the show for giving her an opportunity to be part of 'Yeh Rishta'

"I will forever be grateful for the boundless love & affection I have received while playing Naira and Sirat (especially Naira) in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. To Rajan Shahi Sir, To Star Plus, to the Show, to my Co-Stars, and the incredible people who make it, thank you for giving me the finest memories & moments I could have ever asked for. Without all of you, I wouldn't be the person I am today. It's rare to get a chance to be a part of something that's beautiful, historic, and incredible. And finally to our well-wishers, thank you for falling in love with Naira & Sirat and supporting our journey till the end. I'll miss this more than anything," Shivangi said in a statement.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, which was launched in 2009, has managed to entertain the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. Despite completing over 3000 episodes, the show continues to remain a fan favorite. Hina Khan and Karan Mehra originally played the lead roles in ‘YRKKH’.
