Shilpa Agnihotri is making COMEBACK with Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shilpa Agnihorti, who is known for her role as ‘Ganga’ in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi’ is returning to TV. She will be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta, which has Madhurima Tuli in lead role. According to news in a leading portal, “Shilpa has been roped in for a cameo and will essay the role of Madhurima’s mother in the show. Her character dies in the first episode and that’s how the story will commence. Interestingly, even though the name of Shilpa’s character in the fantasy show remains the same, Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta is not based on the eponymous novel penned by Devki Nandan Khatri.” There is also news that Ekta Kapoor regularly sits with the creative team as she wants to make Colors TV’s ‘Chandrakanta’ totally different from Life Ok show ‘Chandrakanta – Prem Ya Paheli’. Very soon team will start the shoot of Promo and then will go to Karjat for the shoot of rest of the episodes. Is this her look for the show?
This fantasy show will replace Mouni Roy’s Naagin 2 on Colors TV. Shilpa Agnihotri was also seen in Bigg Boss 7. Actress is married to TV actor Apurva Agnihotri.
