Sheezan Khan's Sister To Be Engaged To An Oman Based Businessman In April End: Report

Shafaqq's family was embroiled in the controversy surrounding Tunisha Sharma's suicide case.

New Delhi: After being in the eye of controversy for the longest time, there is finally some good news for Sheezan Khan's family. Sheezan's sister Shafaqq Naaz will soon be getting engaged this month, reported Hindustan Times. Shafaqq is one of Sheezan's sisters. Sheezan also has another sister, Falak Naaz who is also an actor.

A source close to the development told Hindustan Times, "it's an arranged- turned- love marriage”: “Yes, she is getting engaged. They are currently deciding the date and the venue. Everything happened on such short notice. Everyone’s just very happy with it and hoping everything works out fine.” About her fiance who doesn’t “belong to the industry,” the report added, “His family is very wary of the media. So they don’t really wish to get limelight.”

Another source told the publication that the two had been dating each other 'for almost two-and-a-half-years' and that the "guy is a businessman from Muscat (Oman)”.

Shafaqq Naaz is known for her role in 'Ghum Hai Kissey Ke Pyaar Mein'. Shafaqq's family was embroiled in the controversy surrounding Tunisha Sharma's suicide case. The entire family went through a media trial because of the case.

Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the set of her show, 'Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul' on December 24, 2022. Her former boyfriend was taken into custody on charges of abetment to suicide after Tunisha's mother filed a complaint. Tunisha's mother, Vanita Sharma, has made disturbing allegations about the nature of their connection. She also alleged that Sheezan and his family were trying to force her daughter to change her religion. Tunisha's family had accused them of practicing love jihad and black magic.

Sheezan was later arrested and sent to judicial custody. He was denied bail on several accounts. He was finally released on bail after 70 days in the jail on March 5, 2023.
