'Not True': Shaheer Sheikh Denies Being A Part Of Ekta Kapoor's New Show
Gossip mills suggested that Eisha Singh and Shaheer Sheikh would romance each other in Ekta Kapoor's new show.
Popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh won several hearts with his performance as Abir in ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’. His sizzling chemistry with Rhea Sharma created lot of buzz on social media. The show, which was the spin-off of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, went off air after enjoying a successful run of one-and-a-half year on Star Plus.
Shaheer’s ardent fans have been eagerly waiting for his comeback on the small screen ever since ‘YRHPK’ aired its last episode. Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours that the ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ actor would make feature in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming show on Zee TV.
It was rumoured that Shaheer would essay the role of a doctor in the new show. Eisha Singh, last seen in ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’, might romance Shaheer in the new daily soap, a report in Tellychakkar suggested.
The ‘Mahabharat’ star has put an end to the speculations surrounding his new show. He confirmed that he is not doing Ekta Kapoor’s romantic drama while responding to a report on Twitter.
“Not true,” Sheikh tweeted.
Shaheer tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Ruchikaa Kapoor in November 2020. The two lovebirds opted for a court marriage due to the COVID-19 crisis. The ‘Navya’ actor had posted an adorable picture with his wife to share the good news with his fans.
Shaheer and Ruchikaa met each other on the sets of Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’. The black comedy hit the silver screens in 2019.
The couple will get hitched in a traditional wedding after the COVID-19 situation in the country improves. They often share cute pictures with each other on social media.
On the professional front, Shaheer Sheikh was recently seen in ‘Paurashpur’. The historical period drama beamed on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji. It also starred Shilpa Shinde, Milind Soman and Anu Kapoor in key roles. Shaheer played the role of Veer Singh in ‘Paurashpur’.
