Ramayan's Sita Aka Dipika Chikhlia shared the poster of her upcoming film Sarojini, where she is playing the lead role of Indian freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu.

Dipika Chikhlia, best known as Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, recently took to social media to announce that she will be playing the role of Indian freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu on silver screen. Dipika shared the news with her fans on Instagram, sharing the first look poster that reads, "Swatantrata ki nayika ki ek ankahi kahani (the untold story of a freedom fighter)." The poster shows Dipika looking away from the camera with huge crowds in the background and will surely leave you intrigued about her character. 'Sarojini' is directed by Akash Nayak and Dhiraj Mishra. The movie is produced by Kanu Bhai Patel under the Royal Film Media banner. Known as the Nightingale of India, Sarojini Naidu was a freedom fighter and a poet, who wrote in myriad topics ranging from politics, romance to tragedy. Dipika who played the iconic role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan almost three decades back, suddenly got back in news after her show Ramayan was re-telecast on Doordarshan from March 28 during lockdown. The actress since then has been quite active on her social media, treating fans with many throwback pics from the sets of Ramayan.
