Pinjra Khubsurti Ka will soon bid adieu to the viewers as the show failed to gain required TRPs.

Mumbai: What's happening in telly land? Leading GECs are all set to entertain the viewers with new daily soaps and reality shows. While new shows will soon hit the airwaves, many existing ones will face the axe because of low TRPs. In case you are a TV buff, you should not miss these top television updates. 

‘Pinjra Khubsurti Ka’ To Go OFF Air 

Colors channel has decided to pull the plug on ‘Pinjra’, which was launched in August 2020. According to a report in Times Of India, the daily soap starring Saahil Uppal and Riya Sharma will soon bid adieu to the viewers. Yes, you read that right! 

‘Pinjra Khubsurti Ka’ will air its last episode on August 6, 2021. The makers have decided to end the show as it couldn’t garner required ratings to sustain, the report in the daily said. The show has witnessed a time slot change twice in the past one year. 

‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ Prequel Gets Its Title 

Star Bharat is all set to launch the prequel of ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ in the upcoming months. Interestingly, original Gopi bahu aka Giaa Manek will be seen in the lead role. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who replaced Giaa in ‘Saathiya’, is not part of the soon-to-be launched show. Mohammad Nazim (Ahem) and Rupal Patel (Kokila Modi) will feature in the much-awaited show. 

According to a report in TOI, ‘Saathiya’ prequel has finally got its title. The makers have decided to name their show ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’. There’s a twist in tale as Giaa’s character will be named Gopika. 

‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’ is expected to launch by the end of August or first week of September 2021, the report in the daily added.
