Karan Johar Turns Host For Salman Khan’s Show ‘Bigg Boss’ On OTT
While many earlier reports suggested that Salman's show 'Bigg Boss' will be hosted by Sidharth Shukla on the OTT platform, according to the latest update, Karan Johar has been roped in for the show.
Mumbai: There have been several speculations doing rounds on who will host the popular show ‘Bigg Boss’ on the OTT platform. While many earlier reports suggested that the show will be hosted by ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner Sidharth Shukla, according to the latest update, filmmaker Karan Johar has been roped in to host Salman Khan’s popular show ‘Bigg Boss’ on the OTT platform.
Confirming the news, Karan Johar told, “My mom and I are huge 'Bigg Boss' fans and wouldn't miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows and now with 'Bigg Boss OTT'... it will surely be over-the-top.”

The filmmaker will reportedly host the reality drama show on the OTT platform for six weeks, which will premiere on August 8 on Voot. For the first time ever, the viewers will get a chance to watch all the major drama and action 24*7 LIVE from the house and will also be treated with a 1-hour episode on VOOT. BB fans can also watch exclusive cuts, round the clock content drops and a fully interactive edition. Meanwhile. after completing the digital exclusive, the show will then move to Colors TV. This will reportedly mark the launch of ‘Bigg Boss 15'.
Revealing that his mother Hiroo Johar’s dream has come true, the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ director said that he hopes he can live up to the expectations and make the popular show entertaining in his own way. He further said, “'Bigg Boss OTT' will undeniably have a lot more sensational and dramatic (content). I hope I can live up to the audience's and my friends' expectations, make Weekend Ka Vaar with the contestants an enjoyable affair in my own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient. Wait for it!”
Meanwhile, KJo will also be seen in the director’s chair after a long break of 5 years with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The filmmaker will direct the ‘Gully Boy’ pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in this upcoming movie. The movie also boasts of a stellar cast that includes veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. They will be seen playing pivotal roles in the film.
