Naagin 4: Nia Sharma, Rashami Desai & Vijayendra Kumeria Starrer To Go OFF AIR?

Ekta Kapoor's 'Naagin 4' will go off air, if a recent grapevine is to be believed. Interestingly, budget issue is not the only reason behind the decision.

New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Naagin’ franchise has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their TV seats in all their four seasons. ‘Naagin 4’ has remained in news these days after it was revealed that the makers are planning to completely revamp the show. It was even said that Nia Sharma and Rashami Desai have been asked to leave the supernatural show. The two popular TV actresses were rumoured to make an exit after the show gets a makeover. As per the latest buzz, the channel has finally take the decision of pulling the plug on the show. Yes, you read that right. According to a report in an entertainment portal, ‘Naagin 4’ will go off air and bid adieu to the viewers. While there were rumours that the makers decided to end Nia and Rashami’s characters due to budget issues, the report said that ‘Naagin 4’ couldn’t meet the expectations and hence the makers have decided to end it. ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Rashami Desai entered the revenge saga before the lockdown was announced. Her entry did create buzz but the ratings never saw a huge increase. The decision to axe the show was not only taken solely on the basis of budget constraints.
"The channels and the makers have come to a decision to end the fourth season making way for the new season immediately. The fourth season did not work as expected and Rashami's addition to the show only added to the budget constraints in this time of economic crisis amid others. Hence, after speaking to the production house, it was decided that not just Rashami, Nia, and Vijendra's character will also be ending. But, the decision is not taken on the basis of the budgetary constraints completely, the fact that despite all the experimentations, the show couldn't meet the expectations. This forced them to take this step," a source told Pinkvilla.
The actors of ‘Naagin 4’ have been informed about the decision to end the show. They are expected to shoot for the remaining episodes next month. Rashami Desai was the first person, who informed about the same, the report said. "The actors have been informed about the same. They will be shooting for the concluding episodes as soon as the lockdown is over. According to the primary information, Film City is likely to open from June 15 and the actors will soon hop on to shoot for the remaining episodes. Rashami was, in fact, the first person to be informed of this step given that she was the latest addition and her character in the show was not really developed as yet," the source further told the portal. The makers are planning to launch a new season of 'Naagin' and they have started approaching the actors, the report added.
Several other TV shows including 'Beyhadh 2', 'Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein', 'Patiala Babes' and 'Nazar 2' had to shut shop due to the lockdown. Watch this space for more updates!
