'Naagin' Actress Mouni Roy REPLACED By Krystle D'souza In Ekta Kapoor's 'Mehrunissa'?

TV actress Mouni Roy, who is currently busy with her films, is no longer a part of ALTBalaji's upcoming web-series 'Mehrunissa'.

TV's popular 'naagin' Mouni Roy, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in 'Gold' last year, has big films like 'Brahmastra' and 'Made In China' in her kitty. Last year, it was announced that Mouni Roy is set to made her digital debut with popular OTT platform ALTBalaji's upcoming web-series 'Mehruinssa'. Mouni Roy even began workshops for the show but latest reports suggest that the actress is no longer a part of Ekta Kapoor's ambitious project 'Mehrunissa'.

According to an entertainment portal, "Mouni is no longer a part of the show. The actress who is busy with several films in her kitty, couldn’t allot dates to this project." Now, TV actress & Ekta Kapoor's close-friend Krytsle D'souza is reportedly replacing Mouni Roy in 'Mehrunissa'. Speaking about the same, a source told SpotboyE that, "Krystle D'souza has been brought on board for Mehrunisa. Apart from this, she will be seen in a show titled ‘Fitrat’, the series will be a love triangle with a very pleasant looking cast." However, it is not yet confirmed as Ekta, Mouni and Krystle are yet to react on the same. But, if this turns out to be true then, Krystle will be seen playing Jehnagir's wife Nur Jahan, who was also known as Mehrunissa. On the career front, Mouni Roy made her TV debut with Ekta Kapoor's much-loved show 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' featuring Smriti Irani in lead role. Mouni played the role of 'Krishna Tulsi' in the Star Plus show and became a household name. She later went on to be a part of various shows like 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev', 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7', 'Naagin', 'Naagin 2' among others. Whereas, Kryslte too made her TV debut with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kahe Naa Kahe' which aired on the channel 9X and later did shows like 'Kasturi', 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' among others and became a household name after playing the lead role of 'Jeevika' in 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' opposite Karan Tacker.
