CONFIRMED: ' Ishqbaaaz' Actress To REPLACE Shikha Singh In 'Kumkum Bhagya' As Aaliya

Reyhna Pandit, last seen in Zee TV's 'Manmohini', will step into shoes of Shikha Singh and play the new Aaliya in 'Kumkum Bhagya'.

New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their TV sets with its entertaining episodes. The popular daily soap starring Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia successfully completed 6 long years in April 2020. Ardent fans of the show are quite excited as the actors have started shooting after three months of lockdown. The fresh episodes of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ will air on Zee TV from July 13. The production house is taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the cast and crew. We had earlier informed you that Shikha Singh will bid adieu to the show. The talented actress, who gave birth to a baby girl last month, wants to spend quality time with her newborn child. She plays the role of Shabir Ahluwalia’s on-screen sister Aaliya Mehra.

As per the latest buzz, the makers have finally found Shikha Singh’s replacement. Reyhna Pandit, last seen in ‘Manmohini’, will play the new Aalia in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. Reyhna Malhotra, while talking to a leading daily, confirmed that she will soon enter ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. She has started shooting for the show from July 1.

"Yes, I am happy I have bagged the role of Aaliya in 'Kumkum Bhagya. It is a powerful role and challenging. I am glad I am doing it," the actress told Times Of India. Reyhna played the role of Svetlana Kapoor in Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna starrer ‘Ishqbaaaz’. She won several hearts with her performance in a negative role. When asked if she is content playing negative characters, Reyhna told the daily, "I feel every role has different shades and Aaliya is also very different from Svetlana or any other role that I have played in the past. They maybe negative roles but they are different. I started shooting yesterday."

On the professional front, Rehyna Pandit made her TV debut with Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey’s ‘Jamai Raja’. She has also acted in shows like ‘Gulmohar Grand’ and ‘Who Apna Sa’. The beautiful actress was also seen in Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’.
