'Kumkum Bhagya': 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' Actress Pooja Banerjee To REPLACE Naina Singh?

Pooja Banerjee, who plays the role of Nivedita in 'Kasautii 2', is in talks with the makers of 'Kumkum Bhagya'.

New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. The daily soap stars Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia in the respective roles of Pragya and Abhishek. Ardent fans of the show are quite excited as the makers have resumed shoot after three months of lockdown. The fresh episodes of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ will air from July 13 on Zee TV. We had earlier informed you that Naina Singh has quit the popular show. She played the role of Sriti and Shabir’s on-screen daughter Rhea in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. Naina was reportedly unhappy with the way her character was shaping up in the show.

As per the latest buzz, the makers have approached a popular actress to play the new Rhea. We are talking about Pooja Banerjee. Pooja, who was recently seen in ALT Balaji’s ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 3’, might bag the role of Rhea, a report in an entertainment portal said. “Pooja Banerjee is in talks for the role of Rhea, and she holds a bright chance of bagging it,” a source told IWMBuzz. Pooja plays the role of Nivedita in Star Plus’ ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’. The romantic saga co-starring Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan is also produced by Ekta Kapoor. It remains to be seen if Pooja replaces Naina as Rhea or not.

On a related note, Manish Khanna will soon enter ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. The actor, who has featured in shows like ‘Naagin’ and ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’, will play a negative role in ‘KKB’. Speculations are also rife that Shikha Singh will also bid adieu to ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ as she wishes to spend time with her newborn child. The ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress and her husband welcomed their baby girl last month. The couple has named their daughter Alayna Shah. Watch this space for more updates!
