New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor is all to launch the second season of her popular show ‘Kavach-Kali Shaktiyon Se’ on Colors channel. The makers of the show have released the first promo on social media and we have to say it looks interesting. The promo features the lead couple Deepika Singh Goyal and Namik Paul. Deepika, who shot to fame after playing Sandhya Rathi in ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, will be returning to the small screen after two years. Interestingly, her character name is Sandhya in ‘Kawach- Mahashivratri’ too. The promo begins Sandhya visiting a Lord Shiva temple. It is believed that if a girl worships Lord Shiva with full dedicaton on Maha Shivratri, she gets to see the face of her life partner. Sandhya sees a face but at the same time she sees a scary woman who calls herself as the ‘kaal’ of her future husband. Will Sandhya be able to save her husband from the evil? This will form the crux of the story. We also saw glimpses of Vin Rana, who is reportedly playing the role of the antagonist. Check out the promo!

The cast and crew have started shooting for the show and the makers are busy roping in more actors. We had earlier informed you that ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress Shirin Sewani will be a part of the show.  As per the latest buzz, Harsh Vashisht will also play a pivotal role in ‘Kavach 2’. Kavach 2: 'Sitara' actor Afzaal Khan joins Deepika Singh & Namik Paul in the show ‘Kawach 2’ will replace Surbhi Jyoti and Pearl V Puri starrer ‘Naagin 3’ at the weekend slot on Colors TV. The show is expected to hit the airwaves in the first week of June along with Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Dance Deewane 2’. The first season of ‘Kawach’ starred Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya in lead roles. It remains to be seen how the second season will do in terms of TRPs. Watch this space for more updates!
