New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. The romantic saga starring Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Hina Khan is doing quite well at the TRP charts. Popular TV actor Namik Paul was all set to enter the show as the new man in Prerna’s life. The ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ actor has even said in a statement that he was excited to be a part of the show. However, as per the buzz, the head honchos as Balaji Telefilms have decided to cast Namik as the leading man opposite Deepika Singh in their upcoming Colors TV’s show ‘Kavach 2’. It is being reported that Namik will play the protagonist in the second season of ‘Kavach’ on Colors channel. The first season starred Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya in lead roles. Namik Paul opts out of 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', to enter 'Kavach season 2' opposite Deepika Singh! Gossip mills are now buzzing with the rumours that Varun Toorkey will enter ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ as the new man opposite Erica Fernandes. A report in an entertainment portal has suggested that Ekta Kapoor was contemplating to rope in Varun Toorkey as the male lead in her show ‘Kavach 2’. However, the TV Czarina decided to make a swap and rope in Namik as the lead in ‘Kavach 2’. There are chances of Varun joining the star cast of ‘Kasautii 2’ and talks are going on a nascent stage; the report in Tellychakkar said. Varun was recently seen in Star Plus’ daily soap ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. The actor played the role of Naira’s (Shivangi Joshi) friend in the show.
