'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' LEAD Star Tests Positive For Coronavirus, Shooting Stopped

TV actor Parth Samthaan, who plays the role of Anurag opposite Erica Fernandes, has tested positive for COVID-19.

New Delhi: Popular TV actor Parth Samthaan, who is currently seen as Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’, has tested positive for COVID-19. The shooting for the show co-starring Erica Fernandes has been stopped in Mumbai’s Film City. The cast and crew members have been asked to undergo Coronavirus tests. The actor shared a post on Instagram to inform fans about his health. He wrote, “Hi everyone , I had mild symtomps and got myself tested. And yes I have been tested Postive for Covid 19 ...hence I would urge and request everyone whose been with me in close proximity over the last few days please go and get yourself tested . The Bmc has regularly been in touch and with the doctors guidance I am in self quarantine and I am grateful to them for all their support . Please be safe and take care.”

Parth returned from Hyderabad to Mumbai last month to resume shooting for the romantic saga. Earlier this month, the talented actor shared a note and said that he will take a break from social media. "Yes there were moments of depression and sadness during this lockdown, but that’s what gives us strength to be stronger and push ourselves so that one day when this pandemic is over .. We are Ready !!! To face this world againnnn !!", he wrote.

Ekta Kapoor re-shared Balaji Telefilms' post on Twitter and wrote, "All necessary precautions being taken, SOPs being followed. Health & safety comes first to us all at Balaji. Take care. Jai Mata Di."

Yesterday, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan informed that they have tested positive for COVID-19. The father-son duo is currently admitted to Nanavati's hospital. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan have also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
