New Delhi: Television actress Dalljiet Kaur has been making headlines recently for her social media posts around her husband Nikhil Patel, accusing him of cheating on her. Dalljiet's recent Instagram posts and stories have time and again hinted at their relationship that has gone astray, leading to the couple's separation.

In light of Dalljiet's accusations, Nikhil Patel has now issued a statement, claiming that their separation was a mutual decision.

In January of this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, leading to their separation. This choice came after both Nikhil and Dalljiet realized that the foundation of their blended family was not as solid as they had hoped, making it challenging for Dalljiet to adjust to life in Kenya.

In March 2023, Nikhil and Dalljiet held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. While culturally significant, it was not legally binding and aimed to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya. Despite their efforts, Dalljiet found it difficult to adapt to her new life in Kenya, missing her career and life in India. As their relationship developed, the complexities of their family dynamics became more apparent.

Nikhil acknowledges the difficulties of blending families, especially in cultures where it is less common. The challenges they faced were due to cultural clashes, differing values, and beliefs. Nikhil emphasizes that his daughters' mother is irreplaceable, regardless of the relationship's status.

On the day Dalljiet decided to leave, she informed Nikhil, her son’s school, and others of her intention not to return to Kenya, except possibly to collect her belongings. Nikhil has since stored these belongings safely for her. Her departure marked the end of their relationship for Nikhil, and despite concerning social media activity over the past five months, he has found closure and moved forward positively.

Recently, Dalljiet's assumptions and impulsive social media posts have caused confusion and distress for Nikhil and those around him. She has indicated a desire to return to Nikhil’s life and continues to overstep boundaries.
