New Delhi: Presented annually at the ‘National Film Awards’ ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Award’ is our country’s highest civilian award in the field of entertainment. The recipients are honoured for their outstanding contribution in the growth and development of Indian entertainment industry by a committee embodying eminent personalities from the industry. This year the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards’ was held on November 24 following proper safety measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Malayalam Film ‘Jallikattu’ Bags Nomination For The 93rd Oscars Awards In A Race Of 27 Indian Films Well, it was a very big night for the Indian Television industry as many celebrities won big at the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award 2020’. ‘Anupama’ actress Rupali Ganguly bagged the ‘Popular Icon’ award, Rupal Patel aka Kokilaben from ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2’ has been awarded as the ‘Trending Actor’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ couple Shivangi Joshi and Moshin Khan bagged the ‘Most Iconic Jodi’ award. ‘Naagin 5’ actress Surbhi Chandna bagged the ‘Best Actress’ award. Surbhi’s co-stars from ‘Naagin 5’ Sharad Malhotra and Arjun Bijlani also won the prestigious award. ‘Class of 2020’ actor Rohan Mehra has been awarded as the ‘Youth Icon 2020’. Shubhangi Atre also won the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award 2020’. Adaa Khan has been awarded as the 'Iconic Face Of The Year 2020'.
