Coronavirus Effect: After 'Beyhadh 2', THIS Star Plus Show To Go OFF AIR

After 'Beyhadh 2', another popular Star Plus daily won't return back to the small screen after the lockdown ends.

New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the entertainment industry in India. The shooting for all TV shows, films and ads has been halted due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The makers of several movies including ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘83’ and ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ had to postpone the release dates due to the outbreak of the deadly virus. While OTT platforms have witnessed a surge in consumption, the TV and film industry is facing losses due to the lockdown. We had earlier informed you that Sony TV’s three shows won’t return back to the small screen after the lockdown ends. The channel has taken the decision to axe ‘Beyhadh 2’, ‘Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein’ and ‘Patiala Babes’. Another popular show will now bite the dust due to Coronavirus. We are talking about ‘Nazar 2’. The supernatural show starring Monalisa, Shruti Sharma and Sheezan Mohd will go off air due to the lockdown. The producer of the show Gul Khan confirmed the news of ‘Nazar 2’ going off air. She wrote, ‘’ Sad but true ... Nazar to go off air now ... feels like it was just yesterday it had launched ! TEAM NAZAR what an amazing job you guys did ! The most loving team of actors and technicians and writers I ever worked with ! Thank you,all of you for this wonderful journey ! And thank you @starplus for this opportunity ! It’s was roller coaster !!!! to many more to come.’’
Sheezan, who plays the role of Appu in 'Nazar 2', penned a heartfelt post on Instagram. He also thanked the cast of the show and the fans for the love and support. ''Another story comes to an end.. I’d like to take a moment and Thank every one who believed in me @atifcam @muskan_bajaj02081987 @karishmajain92 @riaa2907 @gulenaghmakhan thank you so much ma’am for making me a part of this milestone and giving me a chance to re-visit my childhood once again as #Appu . 'Nazar 2', which is the second season of 'Nazar', was launched a few months back. The show did a good job at the late night slot. Watch this space for more updates!
