New Delhi: Punjabi singer Sara Gurpal was introduced by Salman Khan as one of the contestants of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 14’. She was also trending on social media as fans compared her to last year’s finalist Shehnaaz Gill. However, even before the show started, the singer started becoming a part of controversy as Punjabi musician Tushar Kumar has produced a marriage certificate claiming he and Sara have been married. The wedding pictures of the couple went viral in no time as the musician claimed that he got married to Sara on August 16, 2014, in Jalandhar, Punjab. The ‘BB14’ contestant’s alleged husband Tushar Kumar disclosed while interacting PinkVilla how he got in touch with Sara Gurpal and that they are not legally divorced. He told the portal, “Sara and I were married for three years. We met through common friends at the beginning of 2014. Her first song had come out and I happened to know the director, and that's how we got in touch. We started talking on Facebook and then I came to India and we spent time in Delhi, Chandigarh, and Kasaul. That's how we met.” He added, “We got married the same year in August. It was very sudden and quick, and we both made a mistake.” The musician further said that Sara Gurpal is her screen name and her real name stands Rachna Devi. Tushar revealed that the couple is separated but not legally divorced. “We were together from 2014 to 2017. Sara and I are separated but not legally divorced. So, she can say that she's single but she keeps denying our marriage. Sara said in a few interviews that the girl with me in pictures is someone who looks like her. Toh woh ladki kaha hai woh bata do.” He concluded by saying, “I would not want to go to Bigg Boss as a contestant, but I would like it if they could give me 10 minutes to confront her about this on national TV.
