Apollena Actress Aditi Sharma On Cheating And Abuse Allegations By Husband: 'I Was Facing A Lot Of Misbehaviour'

Television actress Aditi Sharma, known for her role in ‘Apollena’, has finally broken her silence after being accused of domestic abuse and infidelity by her husband, Abhineet Kaushik.

Aditi Sharma refuted the allegations, stating that she had endured "a lot of misbehaviour" in their marriage.

Television actress Aditi Sharma, known for her role in ‘Apollena’, has finally broken her silence after being accused of domestic abuse and infidelity by her husband, Abhineet Kaushik. The actress refuted the allegations, stating that she had endured "a lot of misbehaviour" in their marriage. 

Aditi Sharma calls her relationship turbulent

In a conversation with India Forums, Aditi opened up about the struggles she faced in her relationship, describing it as a turbulent and distressing experience. She said, "Right after a month of getting married, I was facing unbearable marital disputes. I was facing a lot of misbehaviour and other things which I cannot disclose right now because that is going to go ahead in the court… that is why I sought separation, and I wanted it very peacefully. Both families talked and decided that we should separate amicably. He has disrespected me and my family in front of our friends multiple times.” 

On domestic violence allegation

Dismissing the claims of domestic violence on her part, Aditi added, “I have never disrespected his family. I am bound by my lawyers not to speak about this. But, domestic abuse was not from my side. I can just say this much. I genuinely loved him. I am going to speak the truth and not hide anything.” 

On keeping their marriage a secret

Addressing the speculation surrounding their marriage being kept under wraps, the actress clarified that while it was a private affair, it was never meant to be a secret. “Yes, it was a private ceremony, but it was not a secret marriage. My family, my close friends, my relatives knew about it. It was not a secret thing, but it was private,” she explained. 

Aditi further elaborated on why they chose to keep their relationship out of the public eye, saying, “I have a decent career, and we thought it wouldn’t be wise to suddenly put it out in public right now as I was also shooting for Apollena at that time, and my character in the show was of an 18-year-old girl. So both of us decided to not disclose it publicly.” 

Aditi Sharma and Abhineet Kaushik reportedly had a secret wedding at their Goregaon residence on November 12, 2024.
