New Delhi: 'Bigg Boss 16' contestant Ankit Gupta has been trending ever since the speculations about his eviction from the house started doing the rounds. On Thursday night 'Khabri', an account that follows the show and keeps giving updates on social media shared that Ankit was evicted by the housemates.
Since voting lines were closed this week, housemates had to give one name of a contestant for having the least contribution in the show, going by the claims made by 'Khabri'.
In this week's nomination, apart from Ankit. Tina Datta and Sreejita De were nominated too.
Ankit’s fans were quick to trend ‘No Ankit No Bigg Boss’ on Twitter and were devastated by the reports of his eviction. Amidst all this there is good news too for the actor’s fans, according to Bombay Times Ankit has bagged his next show and will be playing the male lead in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s next. He is expected to leave for Chandigarh soon to shoot the promo of the show.
“Soon after the promo, the show will go on floors. We are planning to approach Aniruddh Dave to play the antagonist in the show,” Bombay Times quoted its source as saying.
Ankit was a lead in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s television show Udaariyaan.
There are also reports that his future project and work commitment is the reason behind his elimination from the show and not the contestants.
Earlier this week, Bigg Boss had given a situation to Ankit's close friend and actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary to choose between the lost prize money of Rs 25 lakh or saving Ankit from eviction.
However, she chose Ankit over the money.
Meanwhile, in tonight’s episode, Salman probes housemates MC Stan and Shalin Bhanot about their fight that took place post the nominations this week. The host reprimands them for the kind of language that they used during the fight and asked if they would use the same at home with their family. He warns them that such behavior will not earn them any support from their fans, on the contrary, it will hamper their image in the public domain.
