However, Amar Upadhyay, who is best known for playing Mihir in the classic TV series ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, denied these remarks in a recent chat with Telly Talk, stating that he never really left television.
Amar remarked, “I don’t sit at home for more than two to four days; I go mad if I don’t work," reiterating his dedication to the format. He added, “I’m not going to leave TV, and I won’t leave it because television has given me constant work. I have a meeting tonight for another big TV show, and I’m thinking about how much to take on,”
Amar offered an explanation of his philosophy on dealing with negativity and openly addressed the criticism. "My philosophy in life is that I don't care what people say or think about me. I don't pay attention to negative comments or podcasts that mention me in a negative light. I have a very positive mindset, and I know that I am an extremely hardworking person," he said.
After more than 30 years in the business, Amar made sure to mention how relevant he is by saying that many of his former colleagues aren't even on TV anymore. He proudly said, "I have been in the industry for 32 years, and I am still going strong."
Concluding his remarks, Amar said, "God is kind, and I have a lot of work to do. Woh kehte hain na, kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. People will talk, but I’ll just focus on my work and ignore the negativity."
Amar displays his adaptability and longevity in the entertainment business by juggling his film and television careers. He was recently seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).
