Ram Kapoor recently talked about Rakhi Sawant’s journey in Bollywood, highlighting her resilience and self-made success in an industry often dominated by connections and godfathers. The engagement didn’t last beyond a few months.
Ram Kapoor praises Rakhi Sawant
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kapoor lauded Rakhi’s determination to carve a niche for herself despite the odds. “Today, the entire nation knows Rakhi Sawant’s name," Kapoor said, acknowledging her accomplishments. “She owns a 3 BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, which I have been to. Respect! She achieved this herself. I might not agree with her philosophy or some of the outrageous things she says, but the fact remains that she has managed to make her life by herself. How could you not respect that?”

"Rakhi Sawant had many bad experiences"
Kapoor recalled how Rakhi’s journey was anything but easy, with no industry backing and numerous challenges along the way. “Koi ek nice, sexy dancer jisko industry misuse karna chahte the… bahut saari gandi experiences hai uski… no godfather… nothing… ye sab dekha maine because of ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ so you learn from everything (She was seen as just a glamorous dancer, someone the industry wanted to exploit. She’s had her share of bad experiences. But despite having no godfather, she overcame it all),” he said.
Ram Kapoor on his weight loss
Meanwhile, Ram Kapoor has been in the spotlight for his remarkable physical transformation. Shedding an impressive 55 kilos, the actor reduced his weight from 140 kilos to 85 kilos over a year. In another podcast, the actor addressed rumours about his transformation, Ram revealed how people accused him of undergoing surgery or relying on supplements. He clarified, “People said that I did bariatric surgery, but then why would I hide it? What I did was, for 5 years before I achieved this, I went on a massive weight loss journey and shed 30 kgs, then I put it back on again. This helped me learn what I should not do, then I would stay up all night and read books by experts, and watch podcasts and I figured that there are two kinds of people in this world, one who cares about their fitness and health, and people who don’t.”
Ram credited his success to a disciplined lifestyle. Sharing his schedule, he said, “I now eat twice a day, once at around 10:30 in the morning and then around 6:30 in the evening. Nothing for 8 hours in the middle, or 16 hours after that. Then I do 45 minutes of cardio, and 45 minutes of strength training, and monitor how much liquid you are drinking or sleep you are getting.”
