Actor Aamir Ali, who has largely kept his personal life away from the public eye, has now spoken about his journey post-divorce and his newfound love. The actor was married to Sanjeeda Shaikh for nearly a decade before their separation in 2020 and eventual divorce in 2021. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Aamir candidly shared his struggles after parting ways with Sanjeeda and confirmed that he has been in a relationship for the past five months.
Aamir Ali on finding love again
Recently, Aamir was spotted with a mystery woman, sparking curiosity about his romantic life. The actor is reportedly dating is dating Ankita Kukreti. Speaking about his relationship, he told Bombay Times, "It's a nice place to be in. I'm getting to know somebody after a long time. Everybody deserves love. Of course, someone had to move on before anything happened, and someone is moving on now. I'm in a happy space, as I get to know her closely and nicely. It feels different. It feels good. And I'm enjoying this place. I always tell her one thing – Thank you for making me realize I still have a heart (laughs)... It just started now, almost five months. It's just the beginning of something."

Aamir also spoke about his difficult divorce from actress Sanjeeda Shaikh. Reflecting on that phase of his life, he admitted, "In little words, I was not in a good spot. But I had to do it all by myself. I'm a happy and better person now. It took some time."
Addressing the media frenzy around his separation, Aamir shared how challenging it was to navigate such a personal matter under public scrutiny. "My non-controversial life became the most complicated in that phase. I couldn't explain to anyone, no one could understand what the hell was happening. I've always been very private about things, so it became complicated."

Aamir and Sanjeeda had a daughter, Ayra, around the time of their separation. However, the actor revealed he is not in touch with her. "I'm not in touch with anyone. It's complicated, as I said. I wish everyone all the best and all the love, but I'm not (in touch). I don't want to talk about it."
He also clarified why he has never spoken negatively about his ex-wife. "A lot was written because my ex and I (Sanjeeda) decided not to talk about it and keep each other's respect. Otherwise, it would have just been washing dirty linen in public. I don't think any of us wanted it. I never said anything against her because we shared a relationship. I can never talk badly about anyone whom I've been with. People were speculating and writing whatever they wanted, but I can't do anything about it."
