The series is a collaborative directorial effort by Ram Madhvani, Vinod Rawat, Sandeep Modi, and Kapil Sharma under the banner of Ram Madhvani Films, featuring the talented Sushmita Sen. Sen recently took on the challenging role of Shreegauri Sawant, a transgender activist and mother, in the miniseries 'Taali'. Her portrayal sheds light on the struggles and discrimination faced by the transgender community and celebrates Sawant's unwavering spirit and fight for equality.

Earlier in an interview, she said that she had gone unnoticed by publications in the 1990s. Sen discussed her beginnings in the film business in an interview with Film Companion.
