The Raja Saab Release Update: Here’s When Prabhas' Romantic Horror Film May Hit Theatres

Prabhas' upcoming film The Raja Saab is once again making headlines, this time over its much-awaited release date.

Prabhas' upcoming film The Raja Saab is once again making headlines, this time over its much-awaited release date. Listed as one of IMDb’s “most anticipated Indian movies of 2025,” the romantic horror drama has fans eager for updates, especially after its initial April 10 release was postponed.

The Raja Saab release date

Amid growing curiosity, a recent post claimed that the film is now likely to arrive in theatres in December. Soon after, a report by News18, citing sources, stated that The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, is expected to release on 5 December 2025.

However, there has been no official word from the film’s team yet. An announcement confirming the final release date is expected in the coming days, and reports suggest it might be accompanied by a teaser — something fans have been looking forward to for months.

The delay in release is believed to be due to post-production challenges. After Prabhas shared a motion poster and teaser during Pongal earlier this year, the excitement around the film increased significantly. The teaser’s tagline — “Horror is the new humour” — caught the attention of many and sparked conversations about the film’s tone.

Now, with a revised teaser reportedly on the way by the end of May, it appears the team is working to ensure everything is polished before the big reveal.

The Raja Saab: Cast and Plot

Apart from Prabhas essaying the lead role, the film stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. Sanjay Dutt is also part of the cast, adding to the star power.

While the makers have not shared many details about the storyline, there is buzz that the film will explore themes like royal legacies, ancient curses, and a hero caught between two worlds, blending romance and horror in a unique way.
