Redditors Find The Age Gap Between Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor In Devara Song Unsettling, Say ‘Navel Moves Make It Worse'

Actor Janhvi Kapoor is making her Telugu film debut with Jr. NTR starrer 'Devara: Part One'. On Monday, the new track titled Chuttamalle from the film was unveiled with co-star Jr NTR.

A number of people on Reddit expressed discontent with the peppy song, saying that there was "no chemistry between Janhvi and Jr NTR." Some also made remarks on their 14-year age difference.

Sharing a brief video from the song, a Redditor wrote, “No chemistry between Janhvi (27) and Jr NTR (41). This pair looks so odd. Age gap is jarring (Let's see if it's justified in movie). Jr NTR looks so awkward and out of place.”

Netizens call out Janhvi and NTR's age gap

One commented, "Jr looks bored, Jhanvi probably for the first time doing a role according to her acting talent instead of wasting a good script. Also why does the video look like it's shot by an Instagram director with filters on." A second wrote, "This!!!!! She looks so young next to him that's whats adding more to the already uncomfortable look on their face."

A third said, "This looks like a tiktok reel where the main dancer is accompanied by the "instructor" who is just going through the motions. NTR looks positively bored and extremely out of place. This looks bad bad, lol. I am curious to watch the full music video when it releases."

Another commented, "To think Jhandvi replaced Tamanna in this, yikes! And wth is wrong with the cinematography of this song! My boy Jr NTR is trying his best but still failing lmfao."

‘Devara - Part 1’, which is helmed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, is scheduled for release in September 2024.
