New Delhi: Dulquer Salmaan fans, brace yourselves. Zee Studios and Wayfarer Films' 'King Of Kotha' promises to be another captivating mass entertainer; and they have just released the edgy character introductory video that has ignited the excitement of millions of fans.

The character announcement video introduces the audience to the key characters of the film in an intriguing sketch format. Dulquer Salmaan's portrayal as the 'King' is refreshingly intense and leaves a lasting impression.

The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Dulquer Salmaan, Dancing Rose, Prasanna, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, Vada Chennai Saran, and Anikha Surendran.

Scheduled for release around the festive season of Onam this year, Zee Studios and Wayfarer Films aim to capitalize on the holiday spirit and the incredible popularity of Dulquer Salmaan. 

'King of Kotha' is an upcoming Malayalam-language gangster film which marks Abhilash Joshiy's directorial debut. The film's cinematography is handled by Nimish Ravi while the film's score has been composed by Jakes Bejoy while the songs have been composed by Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman separately.

The title of the film was announced on the occassion of Dulquer Salmaan's 35th birthday. 

As per an interview given by Dulquer to The Week, this film happens to be a dream project with his childhood friend Abhilash Joshiy, son of veteran filmmaker Joshiy. The two have actually been waiting for quite many years to collaborate for a film project.

‘King of Kotha’ has been written by Abhilash N. Chandran, who had earlier worked on Porinju Mariam Jose (2019). In October 2022, Salmaan stated in an interview to Masala.com, "It is an action gangster genre, noir film set in a fictional town. It’s interesting because I generally tend to veer away from this type of cinema quite a bit. But I found a bit of a balance. I feel like it has content, it has great writing, but it’s also a very commercial gangster drama."

Produced by Zee Studios and Wayfarer Films, the film is poised to captivate audiences with its unique blend of entertainment and intrigue.
