The two were seen twinning in gold attire at the wedding of producer Ishari Ganesh’s daughter, reigniting rumours about their relationship. While Ravi has confirmed his separation from his wife Aarti earlier this year, the actor’s outing with Kenishaa has triggered emotional responses and strong opinions on social media.

Adding to the ongoing speculation, Aarti shared a strongly worded statement on social media shortly after the wedding, accusing Ravi of abandoning her and their sons both financially and emotionally. “You can move on in gold silk. You can replace roles in your public life. But you cannot rewrite the truth,” she wrote. Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar lent her support to Aarti, writing, “The truth of a mother will stand as a testimony for days to come.”

Amid the growing criticism, a close friend of Kenishaa, Vijayanthi Rajeswar, stepped forward in her defense. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared a photo of herself embracing Kenishaa and reflected on the emotional toll the past few days have taken on her friend.

“I’ve sat in silence and asked you to be silent over the last few days and I know how difficult these times have been. I’ve known you separately and I’ve known you together with my dearest Ravi anna. How misunderstood, how brutal and how vulgar the people can be is something I’ve witnessed in this ordeal,” Vijayanthi wrote.

She further added, “I just want people to know that you aren’t what everyone claims you to be. You’re kind, dynamic, talented and most importantly you’re true. The truth will come out someday we know that. With your head held high just be the way you are.” Kenishaa later re-shared the post on her Instagram story, adding, “You are powerful to say this and I love you so much.”

Though Ravi has remained silent on the latest wave of criticism, Kenishaa has not shied away from reacting online. She re-shared a comment accusing Aarti of being an “opportunist trying to tarnish you and Ravi’s reputation,” and also posted a quote that read, “A masculine man will never be attracted to a chaotic emotional energy.”

Ravi and Aarti were married in 2009, and in 2024, Ravi publicly confirmed their separation. At the time, Aarti expressed that the announcement came as a shock to her, while Kenishaa clarified she was merely a friend and had no involvement in the couple’s split.
